On March 12, 2025, in Narberth, PA, 3-year-old Francisco began choking on a toy marble. His aunt, Diane, who had basic first-aid training, tried performing back blows, but they were unsuccessful.
She then turned to the ArixMed Choking Rescue Device, which had been recommended by a nurse friend. On the third attempt, the marble was dislodged, and Francisco was able to breathe again.
Diane noted that the clear instructions and pediatric mask helped her act quickly in a high-stress situation.
